1. U.S. Domestic Shipping Rates & Timelines

All ceramics are packed by hand at our Sausalito studio warehouse in custom-molded, plastic-free hexagonal paper honeycomb cushioning designed specifically for fragile ceramics.

• Standard Studio Ground (Orders $150.00+): FREE. Delivered within 3–6 business days via UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail.
• Standard Studio Ground (Orders under $150.00): Flat rate of $14.00 across all 48 contiguous United States.
• Express Fragile Air (2-Day Delivery): Flat rate of $28.00. Guaranteed 2-day transit with priority dispatch.
• Alaska, Hawaii & U.S. Territories: Flat rate of $24.00 via USPS Priority Mail (estimated 4–7 business days).

2. 30-Day Studio Return & Refund Policy

We take pride in the beauty and balance of our stoneware. If an item is not the right fit for your home, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund to your original payment method:

• Items must be unwashed, unused, and in their original packaging.
• To initiate a return, email info@marinclayworks.shop with your Order Number (#MC-XXXXX).
• We will generate a prepaid return shipping label (a $10 return freight fee will be deducted from your final refund).
• Refunds are processed by Stripe back to your card within 3–5 business days of inspection at our studio.

3. Stoneware Care, Dishwasher & Oven Safety

Marin Clayworks pieces are crafted from dense, non-porous vitrified stoneware fired to Cone 5/6 (approximately 2,250°F). They are built for rigorous everyday use:

• Dishwasher Safe: Safe for daily cycles. Use standard liquid detergents without abrasive scouring pads.
• Microwave Safe: Stoneware can be warmed safely in standard microwaves. As with all dense pottery, handle with care as heat transfers naturally into the clay body.
• Oven Safe: Safe up to 425°F. Always allow pieces to warm gradually with the oven to prevent extreme thermal shock.
• Flatware Marks: Over years of heavy use, soft cutlery metals may leave light grey residue on mineral matte glazes. These are metal deposits, not scratches. They wipe away easily with Bar Keepers Friend or a gentle baking soda paste.
